I am sure all of you are aware because of extensive advertising that Monday night the Nampa City Council is going to have a public hearing on proposed sewer fee increases. Meeting starts @ 7:30.
The increases proposed are not small--may be as much as twice what you are paying.
Also, in addition to the amount of money they need they will decide whether each property owner should pay a flat fee or if the extra fee should be based on amount of water used in which case those using more would pay more.
The city is adamant that this is not a tax increase--they choose to call it an increase in service fees.
If you feel as I do that the public needs to be heard from on this show up and at least let them now how you feel either for or against.
Many of you will recall that the city can be moved with enough citizen input--establishment of Osborne park for instance. It would be nice if we could pack the house again
